Andy Preston grew up in Vacaville, California. He went on to attend Calvary Bible College in Kansas City, Missouri where he graduated in 1988. After graduation, he accepted a call from Sequoia Bible Church in Eureka, California to be their pastor. Pastor Andy ministered at Sequoia Bible Church from 1988 until 1994. The Orthodox Presbyterian Church ordained him in 1994 and started a new church, Covenant OPC, in Eureka that same year. Pastor Andy faithfully ministered at Covenant OPC from 1994 to July, 2005. He graciously accepted a call from Mt. Rose OPC in August, 2005.

Pastor Andy met his future wife Mary Ann while attending the same church and were married in 1980. They have 4 children, Joseph (24), Alison (22), Sarah (22), and Matthew (16). He and his family are animal lovers and enjoy many outdoor activities. In addition to children, they have a horse, several cats, and have had other animals from dogs to turtles over the years. Pastor Andy enjoys gardening, woodworking, and is an avid reader.
