Miscellaneous

Pastor and Simon will be in Roseville on Thursday
as Simon will be taking more exams towards
licensure.
Simon Jooste grew up in Cape Town, South Africa. Upon finishing high school he accepted
a tennis scholarship at the University of Nevada, Reno, during which time he studied
accounting. Shortly after graduating he married Deana, a native of Reno. Since that time,
Simon continued working in the area of public accounting while earning a Masters in
Divinity from Westminster Seminary, CA. He hopes that his year-long internship with Mt.
Rose OPC, which includes almost the entire spectrum of pastoral duties, will help in
preparing him for ordained ministry in the OPC. Simon and Deana have a three-year old
son, Andrew. When Simon is not fulfilling his responsibilities to the church and his family,
you will find him outdoors.
