God has given His people the astonishing privilege of prayer: through Jesus Christ, our great High Priest, we may draw near to the throne of grace with confidence and bring our needs, burdens, and praises directly to the Father. And because Christ has offered the once-for-all sacrifice for sin, we can be sure that even our weak and halting prayers are received by God as a pleasing incense before His throne.
The golden lampstand in the tabernacle symbolized God’s light as truth, righteousness, and salvation, shining in the midst of a dark world. Today, as believers, we are called to be the new lampstand—reflecting Christ’s light through our faith and lives to illuminate the spiritual darkness around us.
After the Lord miraculously delivered Israel at the Red Sea, Moses and the whole congregation broke their silence to sing a new song of thanksgiving, praising God for who He is, what He had done, and the promises yet to come. Their united, heartfelt praise models our own worship: God-centered, joy-filled, and grounded in the salvation accomplished by the Lord and remembered in the Song of the Lamb.
