God’s providence means that He sovereignly preserves and governs all creation, using even suffering, disaster, and human sin to accomplish His wise and good purposes. Therefore, Christians can look back with gratitude and face the future with hope, trusting the Father whose gracious hand rules every circumstance for their eternal good.
Science, properly understood as the careful study of God’s creation, does not disprove the Bible but depends upon the order and regularity established and sustained by Jesus Christ. Far from opposing Christianity, science can help us love our neighbors, marvel at God’s wisdom and power, and see more clearly the glory of the Savior who upholds the universe and purifies sinners from their guilt.
Jesus declares that He alone is the way to the Father, offering salvation from sin and death through His death and resurrection. Though the gospel excludes every attempt to be reconciled to God apart from Christ, it graciously welcomes everyone who turns to Him in faith.
The Bible is not merely a collection of ancient religious writings, it is the breathed-out Word of God, trustworthy in all it teaches and powerful to transform sinners. As Scripture reveals the glory of God in Jesus Christ, we are called not only to believe that the Bible is true, but to repent, trust Christ, and follow Him as Lord.
