Though the Sixth Commandment plainly forbids murder, Jesus shows its reach is deeper, condemning the anger, abuse, and hatred that devalue people made in the image of God. Yet in Christ there is hope: though we are guilty, his substitutionary death frees and restores us, calling us to love, protect, and honor human life.
