While the Old Testament laws on slavery may seem foreign or troubling to us today, they were given to regulate a fallen society with mercy and justice, showing God’s concern for the dignity and rights of every person. In Christ, we find the ultimate example of servant leadership, called not to dominate but to love and serve others freely and sacrificially.
