God calls His people to worship Him, not because worship originates from us, but because He initiates it by His holy summons. Through the covenant made with Israel and fulfilled in Christ’s sacrifice, we are invited to draw near to God with confidence, covered by the perfect blood of Jesus.
God’s promise has always been about the destination: a place He prepares for a people He has already saved, and He brings them there through His Son. Along the way, He calls us to trust, to obey, and to put sin to death, knowing that every trial now is shaping us for the glory that is to come.
God calls His people to complete devotion, not just part-time worship. Just as the Israelites were commanded to rest their land every seventh year and keep the Sabbath holy, we too are called to consecrate our whole lives to Him, trusting in His provision and grace.
God calls His people to be holy and distinct from the world around them, not conforming to its values or practices. This holiness is reflected in our daily lives through purity, justice, compassion, and love demonstrating that we belong to a holy God.
